Celebrating Local Mind Week 2025

This week marks Local Mind Week 2025, a celebration of the powerful, community-driven mental health work happening across the country including right here at West Central London Mind.

While many people know the national charity Mind, Local Minds like ours are independent charities, rooted in the communities we serve. We run our own services, raise our own funds, and support thousands of people each year across Brent, Kensington & Chelsea, Wandsworth, Westminster and surrounding boroughs.

From counselling and suicide bereavement support to wellbeing groups and youth services, our work is powered by local people, for local people. And the impact is real.

Here’s what our service users and corporate partners had to say about us:

To anyone who is considering supporting WCL Mind, we would wholeheartedly encourage you to. Their mission is so powerful and focuses on wellbeing in our local area, which is very close to our hearts.

West Central London Mind has helped me in so many ways. I never felt alone. I am truly grateful for the service I received, I don’t know where I’d be without it.

West Central London Mind helps me with my mental health and has given me a community and a place to meet other people who like the same things as me.

As we celebrate Local Mind Week, we’re proud to spotlight the voices of people whose lives have been changed through local mental health support. Whether you’ve used our services, fundraised for us, volunteered your time or simply spread the word: thank you.

Want to get involved? You can donate, fundraise, purchase our training or find out more about our services on our website.

Because when mental health support is local, personal, and rooted in trust it works. That’s what we’re here for.
