We’re a leading community-based organisation dedicated to providing outstanding mental health support and clinical interventions across London. Our experienced clinically-led teams are focused on directly addressing a range of mental health needs in our communities. We combine innovative solutions with decades of local community knowledge to empower people to live the life they choose.
As a Local Mind Association (LMA), we are affiliated to National Mind, but receive less than 1% of our funding from this source. We are reliant on support from individuals, businesses and the public sector.

After losing her aunt, Lucy felt overwhelmed by grief and the return of familiar struggles. Reconnecting with WCL Mind became a lifeline. Through peer support groups, workshops, and a welcoming community, she found understanding, practical tools, and a place to feel less alone. Lucy describes the service as “grounding” and “life-saving,” helping her make sense of difficult emotions and move forward at her own pace.

Winter can be a beautiful season, but it also brings pressures that can quietly impact our wellbeing. Shorter days, colder weather, and increased demands around the festive period can affect mood, energy, and connection. We understand how these challenges build up and how important it is to take gentle, practical steps to support yourself.

As temperatures drop and the nights draw in, West Central London Mind has launched a new campaign, the Weight of Winter, to shine a light on the unseen struggles that the colder months can bring. Read more to find out how you can get involved and help us support even more people who are in need this Winter and beyond.
