Crisis Support

Please note, we are not a crisis service. If you require crisis support, please contact any of the organisations below.

Is your life in danger? If you have seriously harmed yourself. Call 999 for an ambulance or go straight to A&E. Or ask someone else to call 999 or take you to A&E.

  • Samaritans – You can contact Samaritans 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call 116 123.
  • Papyrus HOPELINEUK – If you’re under 35 and struggling with suicidal feelings, or concerned about a young person who might be struggling, you can call 0800 068 4141 (weekdays 10am-10pm and bank holidays 2pm-10pm) or text 07786 209 697.
  • Campaign Against Living Miserably – If you identify as male, you can call CALM on 0800 58 58 58 (5pm-midnight every day) or use their webchat service.
  • Shout – This is a free and anonymous texting service for anyone who needs help. Text SHOUT to 85258.

  • Marylebone Healing & Counselling Centre – A Christian-based service offering counselling and psychotherapy in Marylebone.
  • The Awareness Centre – Offers a range of services, including counselling, psychotherapy, and relationship counselling, in Clapham, Tooting, and Marylebone.
  • The Low-Cost Counselling Centre – Provides low-cost therapy through the Wandsworth Association of Psychotherapists.
  • The Minster Centre – Offers affordable therapy with senior trainees in integrative psychotherapy and counselling in Queen’s Park.
  • Third Age Counselling – Provides free, long-term psychodynamic counselling for adults over 50 in Chelsea.
  • Headstrong Counselling – Low-cost, accessible and high quality counselling for individuals aged 18+. It offers remote weekly sessions which are suitable for people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges.

  • Good Thinking – A digital and free mental wellbeing service provided by Thrive London, Public Health England and the NHS. It promotes proactive self-care for the 4 most common mental health conditions: anxiety, low mood, sleeping difficulties and stress.

  • CNWL Mental Health Services – Provides comprehensive mental health and wellbeing services with support for individuals dealing with trauma and PTSD.

  • Support After Suicide Partnership – A national network offering resources and support for those bereaved or affected by suicide, including connections to local services in London boroughs.
  • At A Loss – Provides a comprehensive database of bereavement support services, including those specific to suicide loss, helping individuals find appropriate support in their local area.
  • First Hand – Offers tailored support for individuals and families facing challenges from a loss by suicide.
LGBTQ+ Mental Health Resources
  • London Friend – Provides mental health and wellbeing support, including counselling and group therapy, for LGBTQ+ adults across London. Specialist services include substance use support through the Antidote project.
  • Switchboard LGBT+ Helpline – A confidential helpline offering listening and support for LGBTQ+ individuals on mental health, relationships and identity issues.
